CHEX Mix the Right Way
Ingredients
- 1 lb butter (2 sticks)
- 4 Tbsp Worcestershire
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- 3 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Cayenne or hot sauce to taste
- 8 oz cashews
- Rice and Corn CHEX cereal
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°
- In a roasting pan over 2 burners, melt together the butter, spices, and hot sauce until combined. Add the cashews and mix to coat.
- Gradually add rice and corn cereal, mixing thoroughly until well coated, 8-9 cups of cereal.
- Under no circumstance should you add bagel chips, pretzels, or other kinds of nuts 😉
- Transfer to oven and toast for 2 hours, mixing halfway.
- Allow to cool to room temp, then store in airtight container. Mix should stay crunchy and fresh up to one week.
